Nursery Software - DataScape (For FG&C (0073) Policies)
The Nursery Inventory Software contains the Eligible Plant List and Plant Price Schedule (EPLPPS). Also called the DataScape software, it assists wholesale nursery growers in establishing their insurable plant inventory value. The software lists all insurable nursery plants and their maximum insurable value. The software also specifies plant insurability requirements, including storage protection requirements for containerized plants and hardiness limitations for all plants. The print option provides a hardcopy listing of selected plants, along with insurability information for each plant and total valuations. The software satisfies the requirement to provide a Crop Inventory Value Report (CIVR). The software can be downloaded as explained below.
FAQ: EPLPPS Frequently Asked Questions (issued November, 2022)
Note: The software inventory files are compressed in ZIP file format and must be decompressed to your local computer system before you can run the installation program. This software is designed to run on Microsoft Windows Operating System compatible computer systems. To download the nursery software click on the desired year’s link below. It is recommended to save the zip file to your desktop. After the download is complete, go to the file location, open the zip file, and click on the “setup.exe” file to install the program. Follow the DataScape nursery software instructions to complete the installation.

USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map (PHZM): https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/
Hardiness zones are determined by the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map (PHZM). While some counties may have only one hardiness zone designated, others may have several hardiness zones for different areas within that county. By using the USDA’s interactive PHZM web site growers locate their growing location and determine their exact hardiness zone. If the grower’s growing location(s) overlap(s) multiple hardiness zones within his/her county, the grower uses the warmest hardiness zone (e.g., if one growing location is in hardiness zones 9A and 9B, the grower uses hardiness zone 9B, since it is the warmer of the two hardiness zones).
