Nursery Crop Insurance - FG&C (0073)
The Nursery FG&C program relied on a partnership between RMA and a private contractor to update and maintain the Eligible Plant List and Plant Price Schedule (EPLPPS) and associated software packages. The private contractor permanently ceased operations shortly after providing all necessary contractual obligations for the 2025 crop year. Without access to the EPLPPS and associated software, the Nursery FG&C crop insurance program will no longer be available to nursery producers beginning with the 2026 crop year.

USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map (PHZM): https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/
Hardiness zones are determined by the USDA Plant Hardiness Zone Map (PHZM). While some counties may have only one hardiness zone designated, others may have several hardiness zones for different areas within that county. By using the USDA’s interactive PHZM web site growers locate their growing location and determine their exact hardiness zone. If the grower’s growing location(s) overlap(s) multiple hardiness zones within his/her county, the grower uses the warmest hardiness zone (e.g., if one growing location is in hardiness zones 9A and 9B, the grower uses hardiness zone 9B, since it is the warmer of the two hardiness zones).
